Show
Jumping is an art form any way you look at it. Sometimes not
attractive and sometimes devastatingly appealing. What sense does it appeal
to … sometimes no sense at all? What it does take is practice, guts,
determination and above all patience to succeed in creating a bond, a
partnership of mutual understanding trust and love! Without it, jumping can
very difficult! This sport takes commitment on the rider, horse and those
that financially back it, as it is not cheap! Above all dedication and
tenacity will indeed see you triumph so long as you believe in yourself,
your talents and those that teach you! This is not a sport for the faint
hearted!

Training is done on a continuance basis: we access where the horse/rider
combination is at when they join the program, a realistic goal is
determined to which both rider and horse can adapt and strive towards.
The first
year:
generally practical, putting everything in the right place, position,
balance and rhythm principals
The
second year: theory and practical, developing style, rhythm and the
elements of form and technique
Third year: theory, rhythm, ring craft technique, style and accuracy
Training
is reassessed after the third year depending on the horse and rider
achievement level.
The
program is geared towards jumping with classic dressage foundations.
Training
takes time, dedication, drive, persistence, persistence and persistence.
Should
you want to ride socially and hack in the arenas, or ride in the countryside, or just gallop up hills … we do that
too, a lot of it and have fun doing it!
